Hacking WDTV

When I first got my WDTV I loved it. However, after a while the amount of content I had became a problem. I got sick of lugging portable hard drives around. I decided I needed to go the way of streaming from one central source. The first generation WDTV doesn't have an ethernet port so I bought a USB to ethernet adaptor and installed the WDLXTV hacked firmware on the WDTV to allow it to be used.

Now I stream all my media from mediatomb running on my server to my WDTV without a hitch. No more messing around with moving content from hard drives onto memory sticks to get to watch something.
